Hunters Scendro x For Pleasure
The promising BWP approved stallion Senecio Z comes from the own breeding program of Stal Bruynseels. This three-year-old top talent combines good jumping genes with an athletic comformation, light-footed canter, and an abundance of jumping ability. After a remarkable appearance at the BWP stallion approval, he was sold half to the Hamerlinck family, where he will be offered for breeding in 2024.
In his pedigree, the high-quality stallion Hunter’s Scendro is combined with the scopey mare Fair Play van de Heffinck, who already achieved good results at 1.45/1.50m level ridden by Molly Ashe and Delaney Flynn. “I rode Senecio Z’s dam myself before she was sold to the United States. She is a long-legged mare with a lot of frame and scope. I chose the stallion Scendro for her, to add reflexes and sharpness, and that has brought us this talented stallion Senecio Z”, tells Niels Bruynseels. Dam Fair Play represents a first class breeding family and is a full sister to the international 1.55/1.60m level horses Quinn van de Heffinck of Emanuele Gaudiano and Foncetti van de Heffinck, who first made great progress under Thibeau Spits and is now ridden by Salim Ahmed Al Suwaidi. Granddam Concetta is a half-sister to the 1.60m level showjumper Coral Reef Follow Me II (s.For Pleasure), with whom Mandy Porter achieved several international victories, and a full sister to the 1.45m level competing Clitschko ridden by Frederick Troschke. This is also the family of top level horses like Kafka van de Heffinck (s.Calvaro Z), Libelle van de Heffinck (s.Cooper van de Heffinck), Citizenguard Millions Dreams (s.Diamant de Semilly) and Queensberry 7 (s.Quidam’s Rubin).
Sire Hunter’s Scendro leaves his mark on breeding, and his eldest offspring are breaking through at 1.50/1.60m level. “Senecio Z comes from a very good damline, with which the Hamerlinck family has already experienced many successes. They are horses with very good rideability and mentality. As a two-year-old, Senecio Z already impressed me with his jumping ability, balance and attitude. Therefore, the expectations are high for both sport and breeding!” In 2024, Senecio Z will serve his first mares.
